I was watching an indian cellular company add yesterday. It was about a new (although absolutely worthless) Value-Added Service. This cue was enough for “BrightIdeas Machine” aka my mind to churn out another Idea. I have read and heard about newsalerts thru SMS. I was thinking if I were a businessman dealing in stocks what good would an SMS indicating a new fluctuation in my concerned stocks be?. The answer is quite usefull , but than just knowing about lets say a sharp decrease in stock price or a steep increase is worthless untill I can act upon it. Any person who does online trading needs a browser which is trading application complaint an internet connection and has to pay for the shares or transactions. If we pay attention thanks to rapidly advancing cellular scenario we have all that and above that the pre-paid users also have buying power (inform of pre-paid credit) . The telecom companies have all the information required to legalize any transaction , they can even have some service charge per transaction and a PIN could secure users from unauthorized use. Now the better part what if we generalize this SMS trading to mobil-Shopping where ppl could actually use there pre-paid credit as a sort of debit card or even as a credit card (for post-paid customers). A strategic tie-up with any bank can channelize the payment to the seller from buyer’s prepaid or postpaid credit.
Behold! Telecom prepaid operators, you have a new business opportunity!

•July 19, 2007 • 1 CommentThe reasons for declining goodness in society might be attributed to dwindling norm (at-least in our part of the world) of going off the way for helping someone. how many times in recent past do we remember being of assistance to someone when there is a clash we our regular schedule. I don’t think we would even require the help of all fingers to count that. We all long for happiness , but don’t indulge in true happiness how sad!

A trip to Copper Kettle Gulshan
•June 11, 2007 • 3 CommentsKarachi is truly a multi-every city . I mean everything is so un monotonous(or non monotonous). The table which we got was surrounded by peple for every background. We (like everyone thinks of themselves) were moderates, in front of us were people( or girls
) who had mistaken Copper Kettle for a glitzy fashion show in paris. Next to them were a family that had all the symtoms of the masjid-hafsa gang. And in the corner was a table occupied by 4 teenaged boys who had satisfaction dripping from there faces ,not becuase the 450/ per head buffet was worth every penny but because those girls were seated right in front of them.
How to get Rid of the Beggers!
•June 6, 2007 • Leave a CommentHaha you had to be there when it happened.
Those nosy beggers! I hate them , especially those which have there abhorrent makeup of faces to depict some gruesome disease or mishap.
One of the girls which had this makeup was constantly annoying me for weeks. yesterday during her routine act of annoyance she it took a bit further and kept on knocking my door , I was in a good mood listening to Atif aslam and did something really funny. I point my camera-phone on her and it was like lightening had struck her she ran cursing me and not just that she gathered other and they all fled to the other side as if they would be turned to stone if they even looked at me. This media revolution has really terrified all sorts of cheats/thugs out there. My guess is they might have thought that I am a journalist from Geo’s reality talk show or something.
